(The fact that this is being posted on the 2nd and not the 1st of Jan really is a just a tribute to how hungover I was yesterday..).
They say a New Year is the time to turn over a new leaf, so I achieved this in terms of having a little flick through my new "Life on Instagram" book that I was gifted at christmas [pic above]. I am OBSESSED with it, and it is only going to encourage me to be more snap happy (if that was even possible)! So, usually I am not overly big on resolutions. I tend to make the whole "eat healthier and run more" promise to myself, but I feel like now is a good reset point for me to actually have a little think as to what I want to achieve this year with a wider perspective than just weight loss. Below are a couple of my starting points (don't worry, its not exhaustive!). So, here goes...
Make More Time
I think towards the end of 2016 I was getting a little frustrated by feeling like I had no time. This was probably true in the sense that December is always going to be a busy month, but I don't think I was actually using my time very effectively. My pledge this year is to structure my time better and make sure I am allowing time for the things I want to get done (specifically with my blog). If I feel like that again, I need to look at why and then just manage my time in a way that tackles the frustration head on.
Keep Travelling
I don't think resolutions have to be something completely new. For me, 2016 was such a good year for travelling to new countries and exploring parts of the world that I haven't been to before and this is absolutely something I want to continue. Yes I already have a list.
Up My Photography Game
So 2016 was also a great year for me for developing my blog and it's meant that I have been able to work with some pretty amazing brands. Now, I in no way profess to be a photography expert and there is SO much for me to learn, so that is what I am going to do.
Health and Fitness
Standard!!! It wouldn't be a new year without a pledge to eat healthier and move more, right?
2017 in a Jar
So I have also decided to start a little jar of memories. Each week I plan to write down something great that happened, or something big that I want to look back on. At the end of the year I'll do a round up of everything in the jar. There are so many moments that we probably forget in the madness of life, so I'm hoping this will be a nice little reminder of some of the best moments in 2017.
I would love to hear what your resolutions are?! Here's to an amazing 2017 - let's do it!
