Having a week long
holiday is perfect for me, as each night means a different dress and overall look.
Set in a tropical landscape of evergreens,
the hotel that I stayed in was a dream
backdrop for any of my outfit choices, and was also a far cry from the typical
brick wall I stand in front of in England! The resort had a constant theme of
water with it being stood on the beachfront and it continued this by
incorporating fountains and streams into every open hallway. This setting, along
with the airy thatched roof, meant that the atmosphere exhumed peace and tranquillity!
The resort was also a
host to varying cuisines, including a French, Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean and
Caribbean restaurant and had even decorated each room accordingly. This meant
that I could tailor my outfit choices to fit the mood on the night…ranging from
a plunging navy jumpsuit for a sophisticated French vibe – to a Grecian feel,
with a slicked back bun and a giant gold choker.
My favourite looks of
the week consisted of two maxi dresses, and as I don’t often get to wear them
in England - it was a nice change! They were both from Australian online brand
Sabo Skirt, which have some amazing pieces for going abroad. The first dress was
a khaki maxi and the thigh split detailing was perfect for showing off a tan! The
thin material meant that the dress hung elegantly, and I felt comfortable as the
high neckline seemed to balance out the revealing high leg split! The draped
lime dress was another one of my favourites from the vacation. Worn with a gold
belt and arm cuff gave the perfect beach feel, and the draped feature meant that
the dream of two deserts also became a reality – win win!
